Markdown vault
Obsidian-compatible memory
Pilot's memory is plain Markdown with wikilinks, so you can open it in Obsidian, diff it in Git or edit it by hand. See Memory & personalization for what gets written.
Backends
| Backend | Settings | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Filesystem | VAULT_BACKEND=fs, VAULT_PATH=./vault | Default. |
| GitHub | VAULT_BACKEND=github, VAULT_GITHUB_TOKEN, VAULT_REPO=owner/repo | Writes to main through the Git Data API with non-force ref updates. |
Structured preferences and workflow lessons are stored separately (PILOT_PERSONALIZATION_BACKEND=local|harbor-d1), outside the vault and never in the GitHub backend.

The Memory page shows the note graph (Obsidian-compatible wikilinks), a note library, a policy editor, structured preferences and workflow lessons, each with accept, correct, reject and forget controls.
