Glossary

AP4M — Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines: authorize once, transact many times. See Mastercard.

Approval — A prepared, unsigned transaction waiting for the owner's signature. Expires after 10 minutes (v1) or 90 seconds (v2).

Budget account — The XRPL account you link for agent trading. Keep main holdings elsewhere.

Build — An autofilled, preflighted, simulated unsigned transaction stored under a build_id.

Card — The chat representation of one intent, driven by the 10-state lifecycle.

Code mode — Exposing a large API to a model through search plus a sandboxed execute script, instead of one tool per operation.

Delegate — A Pilot-held XRPL account that your budget account authorized with DelegateSet to send specific transaction types.

DelegateSet — The XRPL transaction (XLS-75 Permission Delegation) that grants or, with empty permissions, revokes delegation.

Envelope — The { ok, data | error, asOf, caveat, trust } shape every operation returns.

Harbor — The internal name of Pilot's execution engine service (services/harbor), visible in code as the harbor.* namespace.

Intent — A strict, typed description of one action (swap, limit, deposit, pay...). The only thing the model can propose.

Mandate — An owner-signed, bounded authorization for recurring or agentic payments (AP4M) or for a strategy.

Policy — Your limits. Evaluated as 11 ordered rules; verdict execute, needs_approval or block.

Principal — The identity in a principal:token API key. All engine state is scoped to it.

RLUSD — Ripple's USD stablecoin. The default allowlisted issuer.

SourceTag 2610240 — The tag on every transaction Pilot builds, so agent volume is attributable.

Trust receipt — The provenance chips on a card: model, screening, signer, RPC, confirmation, watch.

Vault — Pilot's Obsidian-compatible Markdown memory.

x402 — HTTP 402-based pay-per-call payments, settled on XRPL.
